A few clarifications on new EEG research carried out using the neurophysiological multigraph (i.e. the neoencephalograph or Neo-EEG)

The electroencephalogram has remained unchanged over the past 20 years because the results obtained through traditional exploration have been limited and approximate. Brain wave patterns are rough and provide very little information. To put it more simply, the conventional bipolar detection method is unable to detect brain activity beneath individual electrodes. It can only establish the difference in electrical potential between electrodes...This means that the same EEG reading may show up for several different electrological situations!

The Neo-EEG is the first device ever to use monopolar detection. It records brain activity beneath each electrode, thereby producing a perfectly objective reflection of brain activity.

This technique can also be used to detect dominant frequencies in the readings. For each reading, it can determine the frequency down to a 1/4 hertz, amplitude down to a 100th mcv, phase, spectrum as well as possible inter-hemispheric asymmetry reflected in both frequency and amplitude!

The Neo-EEG has made it possible for Mr Krsmanovic at Psychomed.com to embark on a new research journey and also explains the increased effectiveness of the latest generations of state of consciousness-induction protocols.
